I'm really looking foward to seeing everyone and catching up. Derick and Ryan, I'm sorry we will miss you this year. But, I understand working with pygmies and being knee deep in it.
To everyone else, I've already packed the slip N' slide and lawn darts. This should be one heck of a tournament. We will toss the darts, while sliding on the slip N' slide!

I really enjoyed your website and all the beautiful pictures. It interests me because my grandfather was named Frank Hayden of Lexington, KY. I know very little about his family just that he had a first cousin, Charlie Hayden, who I met in Danville, Ky at the time he was 105 years old. My mother name is Viola Hayden and her sister, Delia. They also had a brother, Robert Francis Hayden who lived in Shelbyville. I don't know if my grandfather had brothers, sisters or what??? If anyone know, please let me know.

This is a wonderful website and it is the tool that I plan to use on my quest to know my mother's side of the family even more! I've known about this family reunion for some time. My mother, Lula Isom Dawolo (her b'day always falls on the 3rd weekend in August) who just passed in January used to talk about it. I learned of its longevity and significance when my Great Aunt Elizabeth Modok Lemons died last year. She had several copies of the history that is posted on this website. The most memorable connection is the Petit plantation. I know a little about my maternal line, as I've heard names like Rowan, Jones, and Fields growing up, but I want to know much, much more.
