Rowan Family Reunion - Celebrating Eight Generations

Greetings Family,

We have been coming to the Rowan Family Reunion since 1896. Now the reunion is coming to YOU!! The dates will still be August 14-16. 2020. Due to COVID-19 we will not have our traditional family reunion, coming together in one location. We will have our 125th Rowan Family Reunion in a
"New Normal". A Virtual Family Reunion. This virtual reunion will allow you to enjoy and participate as if you were actually there. This concept is being done across the globe and has proven to be extremely effective. We see businesses, schools, churches, and numerous others using this technology to bring people together for a purpose. Until this virus is no longer a threat to our families and loved ones, we will use whatever means necessary to bring us together.

The committee has done a great job of ensuring we continue what our ancestors started many years ago. We need you to join us on celebrating our 125th Rowan Family Reunion.

What is Zoom? It is a way for us to celebrate our 125th on a virtual platform for video and audio conferencing. This can be done on your computer, phone, or tablet.
In order to get the ZOOM information to you, we need everyone's email address and cell phone number. If you know someone who hasn't, please provide that informatin to us. We would also like to know, who will be participating in the ZOOM events.

There will be a practice run on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. (CST)

Step 1: Download the zoom app to your computer, phone, or tablet.
Step 2: Click on the link that is emailed or text to you via your device.

If you know of a relative that does not have access to a computer or smartphone, please asist them so that they may also enjoy the Reunion.

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (CST)

We will have several Zoom breakout rooms with different activities. This is an opportunity for you to meet or spend time with your cousins.

Time: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (CST)

Have a cookout with your family members. Take pictures, videos, and let us see what you are doing to clelbrate.

Wear your 125th Reunion T-shirt or any reunion shirt for your cookout.

At 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. (CST) we will have a family scavenger hunt using your cellphone.

The Rowan Family Reunon $100 Book Award gift is given to graduating high school students that are direct descendants.

Must have attended two Rowan Family Reunions. Must have a 2.4 GPA.

Here is the information on the t-shirts. You will order them directly from the Blue Cotton website and the shirts will be shipped directly to you. If you are ordering more that one shirt, shipped to the same address, the shipping charge will be $4.95 up to about 3 or 4 shirts depending on the sizes. I ordered 3 (L) shirts and the shipping charge was $4.95......, 4 shirts, the shipping charge was $9.98 and 12 shirts were $14.95 The website will display the increase in shipping charge, which is depended upon the weight of the shirts ordered.
