Rowan Family Reunion Picnic
Our Family Matters
Our family reunion was a great success again, thanks to the Indianapolis planning committee who possibly topped their last reunion hosted in 2013.  Everything was as good as it gets, including hotel accomodations, picnic, golf, tennis, banquet, business meeting, and morning worship services.  Sharing time with family who come together for a common purpose is what makes this family special.  This was our 121st Rowan Family Reunion and not many famiies can come close to matching what we have accomplished.  None of this would be possible if we did not have family who recognize the importance of continuing this worthy tradition.

The banquet was again the highlight of the weekend.  The banquet room was impressive, beautifully decorated.  The food was very good and everyone enjoyed the program.  There was a special recognition for those who have cross over the River Jordon to be with our Lord and Savior.  It was certainly one I will never forget in the way they honor those who meant so much to us as a family.  The recepiant of the J R Crump Memorial Scholarship Award was Emmanuel Blake Dawson who is attending Florida A&M University.  This marked the last year for the J R Crump Scholarship, but Edsel and Sally Thruston volunteerd to present another scholarship similar to the one ending.   Their generous offer is exceptional and speaks volumes for the love of family.
There will be more information on here shortly concerning scholarships and the 122nd Rowan Family Reunon.

I have included pictures of this year's banquet and picnic.  Other pictures will be added to the photo albums later.  Please check back for more information and pictures.
See you at our 122nd Family Reunion in Louisville Ky.
