Tre’Shawn Jarrod Glenn was born on December 15, 2000 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Nicole Thurman (Terrance Glenn). He was the grandson of Joseph Thurman II, the great grandson of Joseph Thurman I, and the great-great grandson of Rose Anna Crump Thurman. A scholarship for the reunion was started in her name.
He was energetic and full of smiles.
Tre’Shawn started his educational journey in Lawrence Township at Amy Beverland Early Learning Center in 2006. This led to six years at Sunnyside Elementary, where Tre’Shawn attended with his siblings. Upon completion of eighth grade at Fall Creek Valley MiddleSchool. Tre’Shawn continued on and graduated from Lawrence North High School in 2019. He loved athletic activities and often played basketball with neighborhood friends. He was an avid gamer and enjoyed every win! Tre’Shawn participated in the Geist 5K mini marathon multiple times, competing in the top percentage every year.
As a graduate, Tre’Shawn worked assorted jobs including restaurants, grocery stores, and warehousing. In early 2023, Tre’Shawn became a father to a beautiful son. Their bond was instantaneous! Tre’Shawn was eager to be present in his child’s life and spend as much time as possible with him.
Once older, Tre’Shawn became protective of his family. He enjoyed entertaining people to laughter. Tre’Shawn maintained special relationships with his brother, sisters, and cousins. He was a loving, caring father, as well as a fun and joyous son, brother and uncle.
On the morning of October 11, 2023, Tre’Shawn was called home to be one of God’s warriors. He is preceded in death by his older brother, Terrance Glenn II, grandmothers, Dianna Crowe, Josephine Robinson, great-grandfather, Joseph Thurman, and great-grandmother Frances Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memory son, Khatier Glenn (mother, JayLynn Rutley); parents, Nicole Thurman, Terrance and Kia Glenn; siblings, Tayla Glenn, Talease Glenn, Katayah Glenn, Da’Niyla Ware, Nieema Ware, and Na’Kiya Taylor; grandparents, Denise Page, Michael W. Glenn, Joseph Thurman, Aaron and Joyce Woodson; great grandparents Lois Thurman, Valeria Crowe; niece, Armonee Glenn; and his significant other, Aamiya Carter.
He also leaves behind six aunts, twelve uncles and a host of other family members and friends.
