Richard Suttherland Sr., 80, of Owensboro departed this life Friday, March 21, 2014, at Owensboro Center Nursing Home.  He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.  Richard retired from W.R. Grace Co. after many years of service.

He leaves to cherish his meories his wife, Etta Sutherland; two sons, Tracy Sutherland and Richard Sutherland Jr.; two daughters, Donna Gibson and Doris Sutherland; two stepdaughters, Judith Meriwether and Linda Long; one stepson, Alex Montgomery; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandcildren; three brothers, Freddie Carbon, William Carbon and Charles Carbon; three sisters, Clara Johnson, Jewell Williamson and Deborah Jones; one aunt, Marie Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
