Richard L. Rowan, 58 of Owensboro, KY passed away February 13, 2010 at Regional Medical Center. Born October 16, 1951 to Eillis & Georgia Hayden Rowan, in Owensboro, KY. Formerly worked for Glenmore Distillery & was a Veteran of the US Army, Vietnam War. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Chapel. He enjoyed working on cars & tinkering.

Was preceded in death by a brother; Ellis Rowan Jr. & sisters Katherine (Kit) Rowan, Anna Marie Rowan, & Thelma Bernice Rowan.

Surviving are his children Jason & his wife Kristin Rowan, of Lewisport, KY, & Holly Rowan of Maceo, KY, parents; Ellis & Georgia Hayden Rowan, 5 grandchildren, siblings; William Rowan & Kenneth Rowan, & Ms. Patricia Mays, all of Owensboro, KY, Ms. Brenda Duneghy of Evansville, IN, Mrs. Angela Webb of Bellville, MO, and Mrs. Cynthia Jean Duneghy of Madisonville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:30am Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Chapel, 602 Sycamore St. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00pm- 8:00pm and Wednesday 8:30am-10:00am at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:00pm Tuesday. Father Josh McCarty will officiate.

Burial will follow the services at Resurrection Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by VFW POST #696 Honor Guard.
