Richard Willis Gordon
1926-11-08 2018-12-23Richard Willis Gordon was God's gift to his loving parents, James Richard and Virginia Willis Gordon of Owensboro Kentucky. His earthly journey began on November 8, 1926, and continued until December 23, 2018, when he went home to his Heavenly Father. Richard was called to enlist in the United States Army in 1946 where he served until his honorable discharge at the end of World War II in 1947. Soon after Richard return, Edsel Thruston, a good high school friend, introduced Richard to his sister, Amanda Evelyn Thruston. Cousin Duaine was the son of Mary Louise Jones-Hall, the Duaine Mario Hall, Sr., 65, departed this life December 24, 2023. The son of Mary Louise Hall (Vernal J. Hall), he was born on April 8, 1958, in Evansville, IN. He was the grandson of Wilbur Jones, great grandson of Mollie Rowan, great great grandson of Henry Rowan and the great great great grandson of Harry Rowan.
He was a member of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Cedar Hall Elementary and graduated from Central High School in 1976 where he played basketball. Vernal O. "Booder" Hall
Evansville - Vernal Oliver "Booder" Hall, 55, left his earthly home January 18, 2021 at 8:45 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital. He was the son of the late Vernal "Moose" Hall and Mary Louise Hall.
Booder, as everyone knew him, graduated from Central High School as an outstanding basketball player. He also attended Indiana State in Terre Haute, IN and while there, he worked at Gilbault Boys School. He also worked at Hillcrest Washington Home and Deaconess Cross Pointe. He retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections as a Parole Office for 13 years.

John E. Hatchett, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Brentwood in Evansville, IN. John was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Owensboro. He was the son of Edward and Mary Frances Hatchett. He was an Army and Air Force veteran and loved sharing his military stories. He received the Victory Medal in World War II and the Korean War, and other honors.
John is survived by a daughter, Carol Hatchett; a stepdaughter, Monique Moorman; granddaughters Diane Yvonne Hatchett and Yvette Tarver (Alonzo); grandsons Trent and Brent Hatchett; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and caregivers Geneva Baltzell and James "Tag" Kemp.

2010-09-10William Hayden Bell 71, passed away September 21, 2010. He was employed for 30 years with Chrysler Corp. as a laborer. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Gloria L. Rowan Bell. Services will be held at 1 p.m. September 28, 2010 in Lavenia, Smith and Summers Home for Funerals, with visitation there from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Michael Keith Hayden, Sr.
2013-01-08Michael was the son of Aurella Dee Jr. & Clarice Hayden, the grandson of Aurella Dee Sr. & Gracie Hayden, great grandson of Julia Rowan Hayden, and the great-great grandson of Henry Rowan & Mary Munt Rowan. The Rowan Reunion started in her honor in Sutherland Station, KY in 1896. Michael was also the great-great-great grandson of Harry & Catherine Rowan, the head of our family tree who we all descended from. We know that the loss of Michael hurts and that the family portrait has changed but know that he is in a better place with no more sorrow and no more pain.

Mary Etta Hunter was born Sept. 7, 1927 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late James Wilbert and Mary Zelma Hayden. Mary was baptized at Blessed Sacramet Catholic Church in Owensboro; she was also affiliated with St Thomas Aquinas and Holy Angeles Catholic Churches in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mary graduated from Western High School in Owensboro, Ky. Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Walter Leon Hunter Sr. on March 16th, 1946; to this union, five children were born. She was born in Owensboro to the late Charles Rates Lewis, Sr., and Larissa Moorman Lewis, the granddaughter of Alverta Rowan and Howard McFarland, the great-great granddaughter of Levi Rowan & Mary Fields.
Anita was blessed and thanked God for her wonderful marriage to her friend and husband of more than 47 years, Mike Jackson. Anita retired from Omico Plastics in 2008 after many years of service. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cleaning, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family.

He retired from Owensboro City Hall as a courier. He was a member of New Horizon Outreach Ministries in South Bend, Indiana. Samuel was a graduate of Owensboro High School, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He graduated from Paducah Technical College.
