McCRARY, JULIA "PEGGY," 82, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
She was a member of Westwood Presbyterian Church, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and a graduate of Central High School Class of 1947.
Survivors: children, Michele "Micki" McCrary, Lynn McCrary, and Michael McCrary (Renee); grandchildren, Diallo Brooks, Montez McCrary- Holland, and Maiya McCrary; brothers, William L. "Pete" Shively (Lucille), Paul L. Shively (Gloria), and George Shively; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Michele “Micki” McCrary
2022-06-24Michele “Micki” McCrary died June 24, 2022 at age 72 in Louisville, Ky. She was the daughter of Julia “Peggy” Shively and Pompey McCrary, the granddaughter of James H Shively, great granddaughter of James Shively, great-great-granddaugther of Thomas Edmond Shively and Octavia Richardson. Micki attended the reunions faithfully with her sister Lynn and helped with planning whenever it was held in Louisville.

Montez is the son of Montez McCrary-Holand, the grandson of Michael Ross McCrary, great grandson of Julia (Peggy) Shively McCrary, great great grandson of James H. Shively, and great, great, great grandson of Octavia Richardson. They are cousins to the Rowan lineage. The Rowan Family Reunion started in Sutherland Station, KY in 1896. For many years, the reunion was held at the school in Petit, then moved to New Hope Baptist Church for our traditional third Sunday service in August. His Aunt Michele and Lynn are very active participants of the reunion as well as was his great grandmother and great uncles.

Kenton LeRue McCreary Jr., 37, of Owensboro, departed this life Saturday, April 29, 2023. He was born April 14, 1986, in Owensboro to Sarah A. Douglas and Kenton L. McCreary, Sr, the grandson of Doris Hayden Huff and Leroy McCreary, great grandson of Grace C and Aurelia Dee Hayden, great-great grandson of Julia Rowan Hayden and great-great-great grandson of Mary Munt and Henry Rowan. He graduated from Owensboro High School. Kenton enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children. He joined the church at an early age. Andre Moorman, 57, died on May 10, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born March 19, 1966 to Richard Moorman and Anita James, the grandson of Richard Lucian Moorman I, the great grandson of Fannie Pearl Hayden, the great-great grandson of Julia Hayden Rowan and the great-great-great grandson of Henry Rowan.
Andre was preceded in death by an infant son, Xavier Moorman.

Martin Maurice Moorman, 70, beloved father, son, and brother, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, October 26, 2022, at the Signature Care of Hartford. He was born October 28, 1951, in Owensboro. Marty graduated from Owensboro High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. He later earned his associate degree with the adult education program. He was initially employed by WR Grace and held various manufacturing positions. Later in life, he was able to expand on his love for travel and became a long-haul truck driver.

Fred Douglas Page Sr. was born June 24, 1925 to Phillip Peterson Page and Azzie Lee Bishop Page in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was the youngest of three children that included Ruth and Thomas.
Fred was lovingly called Sonny when they moved to Winnfield, LA but his young mother died when he was two years old. He was raised by a wonderful step-mother and his WWI-tailor, minister father.
