Mildred E. Watson Wimsatt 79, Indianapolis, Indiana, died July 23, 2009. She was a payroll clerk 42 years at Fort Benjamin Harrison. Mrs. Wimsatt was a member of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 in the Chapel of Peace at Lavenia, Smith and Summers Home for Funerals, with calling there from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, John T. Wimsatt, Wayne Wimsatt; brother, John W. Watson; grandchildren; great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Lavenia, Smith and Summers Home for Funerals.

Rev. Charles Daniel Williams, 84, of Owensboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at The Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. He was born July 18, 1940 in Pettit, Kentucky to the late Georgia Rowan and Chris Williams. He was the grandson of James Rowan, great grandson of Henry Rowan and great-great grandson of Harry & Catherine Rowan.
He was an Associate Minister, active participant in the Brotherhood Organization, sang faithfully on 5th Sunday’s in the Brotherhood Choir at the Sweeney Street Missionary Baptist Church, Owensboro, KY., and was employed by Owensboro National Bank for approx. 9 years.

Cousin James was the son of Georgia Rowan Williams, James E. Williams, Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, departed life on the seventh day of Dec. 2023. James was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Owensboro to Georgia Rowan Williams (Chris Williams). He was the grandson of James Rowan, great grandson of Henry Rowan and great-great grandson of Harry & Catherine Rowan.
James graduated from Western High School and received a certification in human relations from the Lincoln Extension Institute, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. Willie Mae Wimsatt, 81, departed for glory peacefully on May 16, 2009. She was born July 20, 1927, to the late William "Sonny" and Ernestine Crowe Watson.
She was a member of Tenth Street Baptist Church for many years. She was a tough cookie and overcame numerous bouts with her ailments. May 16, she stopped fighting to rest. Willie Mae enjoyed life. Her children and grandchildren contributed great joy to her later years. She was loved beyond expression by her family.

Beverly Rose Hayden Woodard, 87, died at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at home with family present, she was born June 13, 1935 to Arthur B. and Mary Lorean Phelps Hayden in Danville, IL; granddaughter of Lela Rowan Hayden, the great granddaughter of Levi Rowan and the great-great granddaughter of Harry and Catherine Rowan.
