Gloria Cecilia Dean Hayden Adams was born to the union of Lonnie Lee Hayden and Esther Marie Hunter Hayden. She was the Granddaughter of Julia Rowan Hayden and James Madison Hayden, Great Granddaughter of Henry and Mary Munt Rowan, and Great-Great Granddaughter of Harry and Catherine Rowan.

Gloria was born and raised in the town of Owensboro, Kentucky on July 31, 1939. She graduated from Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Brescia University in 1997. She also attended Owensboro Vocational School.

Tramel Shalik Barksdale, 18, of Owensboro was called home to be with God on Friday February 17th 2023. He was born on August 5, 2004 to Willie Barksdale Jr and Toshieka Douglas.

Tramel was an outstanding athlete and 2022 graduate of Owensboro High School. He was employed at Sun windows while he pursued enlistment to the U.S air force, as a career. He further engaged in other pursuits including, Commercial Drivers License certification, real estate sales, mobile vehicle oil change service, and other entrepreneurial endeavors.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willie Barksdale, Sr., and a great-grandparent Ollie Durst.

Owensboro native and Minster Esther Black, 92, transcended this earthly life to be with the Lord on August 7, 2022.

Throughout her life, Esther was a member and founder of the prominent local gospel group The Joys of Salvation and also a part of The Hayden Sisters group. She traveled to many places to spread the gospel, sing, and play the piano.

Esther was known for her heart of service, having paved the way for other ministers through her training, teachings, and music. She briefly served as pastor for several churches in the Owensboro area.

Reverend Bobbye Jean Valentine Brown, age 85 of Indianapolis, IN peacefully passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born to the late George and Rose Ann Valentine on August 13, 1930 in Owensboro, KY. Bobbye was the eldest of 13 children.

After high school she went on to graduate from Tennessee State University with a B.S. degree in Social work. In April 1951 Bobbye married George Brown and they had three wonderful children. George Brown Jr. was born on April 22, 1923 to the late George Brown and Lottie Carrol in Kingsport, TN.  He went to Douglas High School in Kingsport, TN.  After graduating high school George joined the Navy and served in World War II.  Once Geroge was home from war, he went on to further his education at Tennessee State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.  While at Tennessee State, he played football and met his late wife Bobbye Jean Valentine Brown.

Thomas M. Costley , the son of Lucille Shively, was born and schooled in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He began his professional work experience for the FBI in Washington, D.C.  While working in Washington and living in Alexandria, Virginia he attended Northern Virginia Community College. 

Thomas then moved back to Indiana and completed the State Police Academy.  The next 8 years he worked out of the Indianapolis Post, and was soon elevated to the rank of Sergeant.

She was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Senior Choir, Mothers Board and Willing Workers.
